• Account information: name, email, phone number, password (hashed).
• Profile information: profile photo, bio, social links, designer information (for designer accounts).
• Try-on photos: images you upload to use the virtual try-on feature.
• Designer content: 2D images and 3D garment files you upload if you're a designer.
• Order & sizing information: shipping address, size/measurement inputs, order history.
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment processor (Razorpay); we do not store your full card details on our servers.
• Usage & device data: IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, and similar log data.
• Communications: messages, comments, and support requests you send us.

We use your data to: operate and improve the platform; process orders and payments; generate virtual try-on renders; enable designer publishing and on-demand manufacturing coordination; send order and account notifications; provide customer support; detect fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

Photos you upload for try-on are processed by us and by third-party AI image-generation service providers we work with, solely to produce your try-on render. This data is not used to build a facial recognition or biometric identification database, and is not sold or shared for advertising purposes. You may delete your try-on photos from your account at any time; deletion requests are also honored via a request to admin@forthelume.black. [ADJUST: confirm and state your actual retention period once decided, e.g. “photos are retained for 30 days after generation unless you delete them sooner.”]

We share data only as necessary with service providers who help us operate Forthelume, including: cloud hosting and compute providers, database and storage providers, payment processing (Razorpay), authentication services, SMS/OTP verification providers, email services, and AI image-generation providers used for virtual try-on rendering. These providers are contractually restricted to using your data only to provide services to us. We do not sell your personal data.

Some of our service providers may process data on servers located outside India. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to be protected consistent with this Policy.

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted storage and access controls — to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; withdraw consent for optional processing (such as try-on photo processing); and file a grievance. Forthelume is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect platform functionality.
